Veterans Week - Remembrance Day 2010

Many libraries in Canada marked Veterans Week and Remembrance Day with a wide range of involvements.

Most participating libraries used their web sites to pay tribute with small components on their website indicating "they Remembered", others indicated they would be closed on Remembrance Day.

There was also a special group that went the extra mile to show more concretely that they Remembered. This group organized reading materials that reflected the glory and horror of the wars Canadians fought and died in.

Others organized around the Veterans in their communities, invited them to the library to share their stories with another generation.

Some hosted photo displays or showed movies in an attempt to educate a new generation.
